This past week at Franklin Road Christian School, we had the privilege of hosting the Tennessee Association of Christian Schools Fine Arts competition for schools throughout the state. Our students put forth their best effort in preparation and performances for competition. We are very proud of our students for their hard work and dedication to make this year’s event successful.

Some areas that the students participated in were public speaking, Bible preaching, art, Bible quiz, chess, spelling bee, science projects, vocal, and instrumental entries. Many of our students placed first, second, or third in these categories. Click here for a list of those who placed. Our senior high handbell group and senior high ensemble placed first in state and are advancing to competition on the national level. Individual competitors that also placed first in their category and are going to compete at nationals are Emily Anderson, Matthew Dumpert, Alex Hunter, Lexye Riedel, Chris Stidham, and Hannah Walters. Next week they will head to Greenville, South Carolina, to compete at Bob Jones University. Please be praying for their safety during this trip, as well as for them to do their best and bring honor to Jesus Christ throughout the week.

If your child did not participate this year, I would like to encourage them to start thinking about a way they can get involved next year. Visit frcsminutemen.com/finearts to learn more about the Fine Arts program of FRCS.
