The Administrator's BlogBlog posts from the desk of Kenton Kramer
From the very beginning of human history, the family has been the basic building block of society. God instituted the family as part of His plan for the people He created. The Christian home should be a place where God’s love is modeled and the next generation is mentored in their faith. As parents, we must understand that the only way to have a true Christian home is to follow the guidelines from God’s Word.
The first step to having a truly Christian home is to make sure the members of your family who are of age are saved. Salvation is the fundamental building block of a Christian home. As parents we need to give our children a heritage of faith. (II Timothy 1:5, Romans 10:17)
Secondly, parents and children must surrender their will to the Holy Spirit. It is only as you yield to the Holy Spirit that you can then experience the controlling fullness of the Holy Spirit. Families that are yielded in this manner will exhibit praise (Ephesians 5:19) and gratitude (Ephesians 5:20) for the many blessings that God brings your way this year. The ultimate sign of a family surrendered to the Holy Spirit is one that submits to God and each other. (Ephesians 5:21) Our culture is not quick to acknowledge authority (I Samuel 15:23) and as a Christian, we must understand that a rebellious spirit repels God from us.
The last principle that one should follow in building a successful family for 2015 would be applying the principles of godly living. A truly Christian home is a place of sanctification where the family members are purified through God’s Word (John 17:17) and thereby become more like Jesus Christ. God’s plan for your family is that it would be clean, holy, and pure, even in the midst of a wicked society. As parents, we need to take advantage of every opportunity to place the Bible into the hearts and memories of our children.
May we see the need to have a truly Christian home in 2015. We must understand that we will have to swim against the current of society to achieve a Christian home. God has given us His Word to build a family that brings honor and glory to Him. May we be challenged in 2015 to develop a truly Christian home for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks for your generosity this Christmas. The students and families of FRCS gave almost $3,000 towards Shop with the Sheriff. It is truly amazing to see the giving spirit of our students and families. I heard several accounts of students giving their own money which is just a wonderful reflection of their heart. I honestly believe we have the best students and this is just another example of how privileged we are to do what we do at FRCS. The amount of students within our own county that will be blessed by this gift is amazing. Thank you again for letting us partner with you as we educate these children for eternity. May the Lord bless you this coming year. Merry Christmas
